The album Tennessee Line is a journey. A journey trying to find a simpler life, a better life, good love and perhaps even closure to life's unanswered questions. Snowden blends country, southern rock and folk into a soul-searching album that speaks to listeners from all walks of life. "Tennessee Line" is a nostalgic opening title track that, with swirling guitars and Hammond organ along with a searing lead from Grammy award-winning guitarist Brent Mason, reminds us of how close home truly is. The album continues with tracks that are more reflective and stripped down, like "High Wire" and "You've Been a Friend", which talk about hope and faith. However, songs like "I'm Gone" and "Bible In a Bar" pay tribute to Snowden's rock and country roots, complete with Telecaster tone and stellar pedal steel guitar work from Tony Dingus, a veteran industry session player. With soulful vocal runs, wailing slide guitar and haunting acoustic guitar, Snowden lends a somber tone to the last track "Brothers of the Road", written for a close friend that passed before his time. If this album is a journey, it's a journey that’s worth embarking upon.
